Area guide: Newall Green
Newall Green is about eight miles south of the city centre,
between the M56 motorway and Wythenshawe hospital. There's good access to
the motorway network, the airport and other areas of south Manchester and
Cheshire.
Living in Newall Green
There is a small shopping parade on Greenbrow Road, and a large Tesco
supermarket on Altrincham Road about a mile away.
Timperley village shopping centre is just over a mile away, and the food
halls and market at Wythenshawe civic centre are on the other side of the
motorway. There are regular buses from the city centre to the hospital.
It's a mile or so to Wythenshawe Forum. The Forum centre is a modern
building at the heart of community life - the place to come for leisure,
learning and childcare. It has indoor leisure facilities including a
swimming pool, gym, sports hall and fitness centre. There's a health centre,
children's nursery, and a job centre.
There are walks into the Cheshire countryside nearby.
